Ace Educators Join Crawley Green Nursery to Support SEN Awareness

Crawley Green, UK — In a heartwarming step toward inclusive education, Ace Educators recently partnered with Crawley Green Nursery School in a special initiative to raise awareness and understanding of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The event, held earlier this month at the Crawley Green campus, brought together early years practitioners, parents, and education specialists to explore ways of identifying and supporting children with additional learning needs during their most formative years.

Building Awareness, One Child at a Time

Ace Educators’ participation focused on interactive workshops and resource-sharing sessions tailored for nursery staff and caregivers. The goal: to equip educators with practical tools to recognize early signs of developmental delays, communication challenges, and behavioral differences in young learners.

“We believe early intervention is key,” said Sarah Patel, SEN Lead at Ace Educators. “By collaborating with nursery schools like Crawley Green, we’re helping to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive, regardless of their learning style or needs.”

Activities That Make a Difference

The day featured hands-on activities that demonstrated inclusive teaching strategies—such as sensory play, communication boards, and visual timetables—designed to engage children with varying cognitive and emotional needs.

Teachers and parents also received access to Ace Educators’ SEN toolkit, a curated set of resources that includes:

  • Early screening checklists

  • Communication aids for non-verbal children

  • Tips for positive behavior reinforcement

  • Guidance on referrals and EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plans)

Voices from the Community

“We were truly inspired by Ace Educators’ commitment to inclusion,” said Emma Wright, Headteacher at Crawley Green Nursery. “Their team brought not only expertise but also a genuine passion for helping every child feel seen, supported, and celebrated.”

Several parents in attendance expressed gratitude for the open discussions around neurodiversity and the opportunity to connect with professionals who specialize in SEN support.

Looking Ahead

This collaboration marks the beginning of a broader initiative by Ace Educators to partner with early years settings across the region, aiming to improve SEN practices and raise community awareness.

“Our mission goes beyond tutoring—it’s about advocacy, empathy, and empowerment,” added Patel. “We want every child to have access to the support they deserve, right from the start.”
